ABOUT THIS TRAINING

Course Overview

This training is designed for licensed professional counselors who want a practical way to work with the cases that don't respond to problem-focused approaches. Part 1 teaches the constructs of Solution Focused Narrative Therapy — how the model thinks, how it sounds in conversation, and how it invites clients to step out of a problem-saturated story and into one they would rather live.

Through videos, exercises, and spontaneous role plays, you will see the model at work with real clinical situations. You will leave with questions you can use in your very next session — and a new way of joining with clients in re-storying their lives, honoring their values, and taking new actions.

  • Built by a practitioner: Dr. Metcalf created SFNT across thirty-five years of clinical work

  • Used globally with clinical mental health cases, from trauma to relationship challenges

  • A 3-hour live session with practice woven throughout — not a lecture

  • The session recording is yours to revisit after the training

  • Part 2 continues the series with practice on your own cases
